True Love.

I came across a wedding photographer today that I absolutely love. Such fun and interesting shots, such quirky and lovely weddings. Not only is the photography phenomenal, the decorations are FABULOUS! Here are a few of my favorites.

I could go on forever! I think every shot is my favorite.

What an awesome shot! Seriously, i could keep going... but I won't. If you want to see more check out http://jonaspeterson.com/

It is pronounced "MON-DRIAN"

An artist from the early 20th century, Piet Mondrian was a pivotal player in the cubism race. He created art, as seen above, that is still being referenced and added to modern culture, nearly 100 years later. I imagine his images and style will continue to be used far into the future.

SO, if you are going to copy this man's art- PLEASE pronounce his name correctly. It is NOT "Modrain." It IS Mondrian (môn'drēän). Seriously... I think I found a new pet peeve.

On another Mondrian note, this is actually one of my favorite paintings done by the artist. A Mill in the Sunlight by Peit Mondrian takes some lovely notes from the post-impressionism era. I love the color and texture in many of his early paintings.

Powerless.

Only the light that pours from the window to light my way. This is the perfect day to sleep! To bad I have SO much work to do!

A Beautiful Reminder

What was once dry and wanting
Rejoices in the sky's bountiful gift

What was once hidden by dust and weeds
Graciously accepts nature's cleansing shower

What was once aching for life
Stretches out under God's nurturing hand

The empty are filled
The dirty are cleansed
The needy are not left wanting

A beautiful reminder
From a late summer rain

Young Life

Young Life has started back up strong this year! I am looking forward to spending time with my junior girls and getting to go a little deeper with them in our Bible study. I am really excited what the Lord has for me and my girls!

To start off the year I got to design the T-shirt for RHS Young Life. The kids are in the process of voting on which one they like best. Pretty exciting!

Here, have a look at the variety they have to choose from.

Smiles

I just wanted to post how much I LOVE seeing this child smile. It lights up my world. So pure and simple. Child of mine, please stop growing up.

Bubble time!

Almost too many to get in the tub with! Needless to say bubble bath + jacuzzi jets = LOTS of bubbles.

Seeking understanding.

Hello School Year!

We are back! And SO ready for 3rd grade. Cameron is standing tall at 4 foot 7 inches, 90 pounds and 100% boy! He was excited about seeing his friends again and being the friendly chatty boy that we all know and love. Although friends were at the top of his list, Cameron's interest in academics isn't far behind. He is ready to get back in his Reach class and get in his groove.

Only moments later he took off with out even a "Bye, mom!" I did wrangle one out of him, but I am beginning to realize the day will come all to quickly when I can no longer get my hugs and kisses out of this sweet boy.

August already!?

I do believe I will make it a habit to only post blogs in months that start with the letter "A"

No, not really! I will add "J" in there too for good measure. :)

Okay, okay! I will yet again promise to be a better blogger. Life is busy, but it is also too short. So, topics to look forward to... Eating with Chelsea, the new house, Cameron and all of his fun activities, friends and family!

For now I will leave you with my latest addition to "Eating with Chelsea!"

It was my birthday and could eat if I want to!

Yummy carrot cake.

Rock Band

I love spending time with my boys. It doesn't really matter the activity sometimes. Today, it's RockBand. We're rocking out to the likes of the Talking Heads and Duran Duran. I LOVE this time with them; discovering more about their personalities by the songs they choose and the outfits they put their rocker in. My heart swells with love :)

Alright, April! Here we go!!

I have no time at the moment for a long post. but I wanted to put this out there.... The Green's Spot will be migrating. We are in the process of closing our deal on another home. SO exciting! There will be more detail to come when i have them. Until, it is absolutely beautiful outside and I am heading out to enjoy some of that.

What?! It's already March!?

Today I woke up at 4AM in a cold sweat - SO many things to do... except, I can't think of a single one.

"Why the heck am I awake? Why are my clothes drenched in sweat?" I thought to myself. Nothing came to mind. So, i rolled over and went back to sleep.

I think it is interesting how my brain seemingly shuts off when there is too much to think about. Almost as though I have an information overload and a brain blue screen. This very much affects my daily routine. Dang that blue screen!

Anyhow, that is my excuse for letting the blog go yet another month without being touched. By the way, it is a beautiful day outside my office window.

Better Blogger

Life is short. A phrase we have heard in a dozen movies to date, but it's true. Life flies by and before we know it we are no more than a whisp of a memory someone once had. It is funny to think about, though, that the Internet is now an archive of lives. Whimsical writers lay out their hopes, dreams, and what they had for lunch into cyberspace.

Are we hoping to leave a legacy or just bring ourselves to the place where we sit and contemplate why we celebrate each day.

My hope is that being a "Better Blogger" will do just that for me. It will take my focus off of things that bother me and help me take notice to ALL of the wonderful blessings I have in my life. God is SO good and I am not giving him all the glory if I'm not celebrating Life.

It's a New Year: no blank slate, no resolutions, just precious life.

I thought, since it has been a while, I would post another segment of "eating with Chelsea!"

Yikes!

It is January 19th and I am already so far behind! I will become an awesome Blogger... I will become and awesome blogger...

So, lets play catch up!

I graduated! Yay! AND... I didn't fall on my face walking across the stage! Double Yay!

Then we had a wonderful Christmas with my dad.... Sadly I think I am lacking pictures from this event. The best part of the weekend was playing Mao with my family, Grandmother included. One of the rules was to make an animal sound when a certain card was played... My sweet, beautiful, prim & proper Granmama made the best animal sounds!

It snowed! On Christmas! It was perfect.

Have I mentioned yet that we got a dog? Dexter is 6 months old now and still SO precious. He is perfect for our family. We couldn't have asked for a better pet.

Then we had Christmas with the Green's (Tom and Jayne) and family.

Then last, but not least, a wonderful, loungey Christmas day with mi madre. I love Christmas! I didn't get to spend nearly as much time on my decorations this year, got tons of time with the fam <3 and got lots of down time with my wonderful hubby. Also... i ate A LOT.

Harry playing with Cameron's new Rock Band.

Some of the yummy Christmas morning food. Breakfast casserole was just to good to wait to have it's picture taken.

Gotta have the coffee in the morning.

Cameron had a blast. Comfy chair - check, Sunggie - check, LOTS of gift - check, check and check.

I did a nice job wrapping this, if I do say so myself. Best surprise gift of the season!

Alright, well i think that covers December. I feels SO blessed by family and by the daily reminder of God's grace. Christmas was a time for gathering and celebrating, but we should always remember the Greatest Gift we have ever received is Jesus Christ and his sacrifice for us.

Next up... January! Although, sadly, i don't think I have as many fun photos.
